Once you are in contact with the ultimate good, you no longer have any great reason to wish your neighbor ill, to want to be more powerful than he. All the motivations are destroyed. To the very extent that they persist, they can subsist o...nly as a game. You no longer believe in them. That's over! You've exited backstage of yourself, you've seen all the tricks. You know the actor is an actor and what happens on stage is fiction. That doesn't mean it's not amusing to participate, to walk onstage in costume, to have a lot of adventures. But in itself, that no longer has any reality. Everything, at any moment, can be absorbed into your fundamental identity.
